The Pearl-Qatar is a multi billion dollar man made island spanning nearly 4-million square meters of reclaimed land off the Arabian Peninsula state of Qatar. The island is just 20 kilometres north of the city of Doha and the new Doha International Airport.
The Pearl-Qatar is Qatar’s first international real estate venture, its largest ever real estate development and the first to offer international property investors the right own freehold property in the Gulf State. It will create 15,000 dwellings by 2010 and be home to over 40,000 residents.
Full respect has been attributed to the counties rich heritage in pearling and sea fishing that dates back centuries.
The island has been positioned with the greatest respect for the marine environment and topography.
The Pearl Qatar is being developed by the United Development Company (UDC), and is a four-phase mixed-use development comprising 10 distinct, themed districts to be developed over five years housing beachfront villas, elegant town houses, luxury apartments, exclusive penthouses, 5 star hotels, marinas, schools as well as upscale retail and restaurant offerings.
It will be a destination in its own right – a lavish, secure and exclusive island retreat with a Riviera-style community.
