It promises to be an exciting exhibition with over 2,000 companies displaying products from industries including watches, jewellery and precious-stones.

Whatever the product, the information you need will be there.

Here we present – courtesy of BaselWorld – a selection of New Creations that you can find at this years exhibition.

MAURICE LACROIX – Masterpiece Roue Carrée Seconde
Maurice Lacroix is never one to shy away from a challenge! Having pushed back the limits with the Roue Carrée by giving a totally new angle to mark the passage of time, Maurice Lacroix has now created a seconds mechanism that differs from its circular counterparts. Activated by a toothed clover-leaf wheel, the small seconds comes to life in a lively and steadfast rhythm provided by an openwork square wheel. To leave the seconds hand squarely in the spotlight, the hours and minutes are indicated by simple central hands coated with Superluminova. Contemporary and revolutionary, the Masterpiece Roue Carrée Seconde has given time a new philosophy, in which aesthetics and engineering go hand in hand.

MARVIN – Marvin Loeb Summer Collection
With the Loeb Summer Collection, Marvin underlines the long tradition that links the brand to the passion for car racing. In 1930, it launched the “tyre watch”, a timepiece protected by a rubber tyre. Since 2010, it has worked with Sébastien Loeb, seven-time world rally champion, on a project which reflects his image. Dynamic, vibrantly coloured and high-performing, the chronograph, which is accurate to 1/10th of a second, has a 44mm case with shaped sides meticulously designed in conjunction with the champion. The dial proudly bears his signature, while the caseback is engraved with his title, “World Rally Champion”.

PORSCHE DESIGN – P’6930 Chronograph
It’s not trying to hide it. In fact, it’s very proud of it! The P’6930 chronograph draws its inspiration from the legendary P’6910 and offers a variant with a consciously technical appeal. Its precision is enhanced by the use of titanium, the brand’s signature. An intersect between the automobile industry and watchmaking, it boasts many elements that evoke the Carrera GT: the pedal-shaped pushpieces, the grooved strap with its tyre-tread design, and the 7750 calibre “steering-wheel” rotor. A powerful, discreet and functional timekeeper, with well-oiled engineering.

EPOS – 3400 GMT Edition Limitée
The 3400 GMT limited edition meets all the requirements Epos enthusiasts have come to expect: a world-first counter-clockwise 24-hour indicator with a separate date window for the second time-zone. This is made possible by two independent movements providing a simultaneous display of the two time zones. Created by Epos’ master craftsmen, this timepiece is limited to 999 pieces.

MAURICE LACROIX – Masterpiece Double Rétrograde Edition Limitée
Flagship of the Maurice Lacroix brand, the Masterpiece Double Rétrograde is celebrated for its interpretation of the retrograde complications that the company has mastered to perfection. This year, for the first time, it features a version with an automatic movement. In a beautifully balanced choreography, the striking blue dial displays a ballet of fine pink gold hands moving gracefully around arcs and circles, each at its own rhythm, each in its own corner. A bright and lively contrast that encapsulates the collection’s credo, “Never Stop Moving”. Series limited to 50.

RECONVILIER – Hercules Golf Master
What is the dream of every golfer? To access information that will measure the distance to the green, front edge or centre, in both metres and yards with the click of a button. Well, thanks to the Hercules “Golf Master” from Reconvilier and its integrated GPS application, this has now become a reality! And with its “Rotar” reversing mechanism, this shock-resistant instrument rotates to display a classic analogue reading of the time on one side and the digital measurements to the green on the other. Functions that will not improve your swing, but will make the course easier!

TENDENCE – Gulliver Automatic Chronograph Limited Edition
A little incursion into the world of Tendence: an oversized round case and a 3D dial with perfectly designed raised hour-markers. The tone-on-tone dial gives the timepiece a bold, modern, unconventional look. The breathtaking architecture and the play of depth and contrasts make this a fascinating object, as does the case in titanium and polycarbonate, two elements at the forefront of technology valued for their lightness and resistance. The silicone strap is the ultimate signature of this avant-garde watch. Available in a chronograph version with a Valjoux movement or a three-hand version. Both are limited to 50 pieces.

EPOS – 3405 Heure Sautante
The 3405 Jumping Hours from Epos is an incomparable work of art. The time is displayed through a large off-centre window at 3 o’clock, a world first, while the date is displayed below the dial in a highly original round, recessed window. An instantly-identifiable, unconventional creation. The Côtes de Genève decoration on the dial adds the finishing touch to this remarkable work of precision.

GROVANA – Day Retrograde
Grovana has enlarged its successful Retrograde collection with a new creation inspired by simplicity and elegance. The Day Retrograde is a manifestation of harmony in a truly aesthetic composition. Numbers file past in a double date window at 12 o’clock, while a hand swings in an arc – positioned at 6 o’clock – marking the passing days. Available in stainless steel or plated with 5N pink gold, the 40 mm case will appeal to the most exacting customers, men or women. A very affordable model guaranteed to arouse the same enthusiasm as its predecessors.

REVUE THOMMEN – Classical 82 Round
Revue Thommen can pride itself on having produced over one hundred movements since 1853. In keeping with this proud tradition, its latest model, the Classical 82 Round, houses the brand’s GT 82 movement. Inspired by legendary pilot watches, this timepiece has a round case, though the dial is presented in a more contemporary fashion, with shades of pink gold delicately highlighting the hour-markers and hands. One of Switzerland’s oldest watch manufacturers offers here a neo-classical model that exalts simplicity, elegance and refinement in the purest tradition of horological savoir-faire.

Subtlety is the result when a mechanical watch comes together with musical poetry. So it is with the TNT RendezVous, which displays a double gong under the sapphire crystal, a unique feature in this kind of watch. When the alarm is released, the hammers strike the gongs, one of which is a cathedral gong, emitting a few clear, limpid notes worthy of the best horological craftsmen. Series limited to 201.

LONGINES – Longines Twenty-Four Hours
In the 1950’s, Longines supplied watches to Switzerland’s national airline, Swissair. The company is now re-issuing its aviator watch, the Longines Twenty-Four Hours, with its distinctive 24-hour dial. This feature met the needs of navigators who, at the time, had to determine the position of the aircraft and set up a flight plan. Both historical and functional, it has preserved the original’s strong aesthetic character.

DEWITT – Twenty-8-Eight Regulator A.S.W. Horizons
The background for DeWitt’s new creation is the majestic New York of the 1930’s, stimulating, prosperous, and characterized by the Art Deco movement and its innovative, modern, aerodynamic lines. Comprising 320 components, the DW8014 calibre expresses the same inventive audacity. The 100% Manufacture DeWitt movement introduces a patented Automatic Sequential Winding (A.S.W.) device driven by a peripheral oscillation rotor. The dial is dominated by an impressive construction whose four columns tower majestically over the tourbillon. The balanced structure of the sunray-decorated dial and the chocolate-brown tones of the sapphire crystal reinforce the exclusive character of this exceptional timepiece. Limited edition of 250.

COVER – Co145 Diver
Safety, functionality and sturdiness are just some of this timepiece’s qualities. Designed for divers and sportsmen, the ultra-resistant Cover Co145 Diver establishes its identity with a screw-down crown and non-slip rotating bezel, while the very legible dial and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal provide optimal reading of the indications to a depth of 200 meters.

CUERVO Y SOBRINOS – Historiador Cronógrafo
Once again, Cuervo y Sobrinos has revived one of its most emblematic models from the past, the Historiador Cronógrafo. True to the styling that made the brand successful in the 1950’s, the case measures 40 mm, the classic lines are underscored by the traditional horns, and the sapphire crystal is double-curved (the crystal was formerly made of acrylic hesalite). Behind the retro and neo-classical inspiration of this chronograph lie the roots of a brand combining Latin passion with Swiss watchmaking expertise, which adds to its unique personality.

Because of the rarity of its movement, the LL9 is limited to only 500 pieces! Armand Nicolet’s watchmakers have achieved a technical feat by reworking an FHF 905 calibre from 1960 so that it meets today’s requirements. This timepiece, the brand’s first Limited Edition designed exclusively for women, is a complete reinvention, but one that highlights its vintage mechanism. This can be seen through the finely guilloché, openworked dial. A perfect blend of Swiss watchmaking tradition and avant-garde technique, each model is exceptional and elegant and will become the prized possession of only a few very happy ladies.

MIRA – Fée Céleste
Mira’s first ladies’ collection tells a love story. Once upon a time, a swan was floating above a mother-of-pearl and black aventurine lake, waiting for its companion. The incarnation of fidelity, the eternal bird invests this elegant and timeless piece with deep significance. And as it is dedicated to women, it sparkles with a setting of no fewer than 166 diamonds. Combined with pink gold and mother-of-pearl, these accentuate the beauty and purity of the Fée Céleste’s plumage, which seems to skim over the passing time, symbolised here by the off-centre hours at 12 o’clock and the retrograde minutes at 6 o’clock. A delicate combination of imagery and imagination on the path to dreams.

The specifications of the LED Nomad will certainly meet the expectations of the modern nomad. With a steel case and digital and analogue displays, it is functionality that counts: 1 pushpiece for 1 function. Compass, day, date, month as well as an extra hour, minute and seconds display are each activated by means of a pushpiece. A sporty, multi-functional timepiece for everyday wear.

This new creation from BijouMontre draws its inspiration directly from the mysterious and magical world of Shakespeare’s play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Combining the flamboyant colours of citrine, amethyst, peridot, rhodolite and topaz, the BM 22010T injects new youth into this ethereal tale. Diamond-set (0.9 carats) leaves at centre stage drift across the white mother-of-pearl dial and cascade over the case. Reflecting the exquisite delicacy of absolute femininity, this elegant timepiece is available in a limited edition of 666.

COVER – Co141 Ceramic
Marking 30 years of Cover’s family business, passion and savoir-faire come together in the Co141 Ceramic collection. A bracelet set with facetted semi-precious ceramics and a bezel in the same material give this model a strong identity. Absolutely glamorous in white and totally captivating in black, this timepiece is the embodiment of elegance and style.

Heads, the Mark collection is a new line from Coinwatch, directly inspired by numismatics and representing a new step in the brand’s history of watchmaking. Tails, the C119RWH is a timepiece with a contemporary, understated design. Resolutely masculine, it juggles different proportions: a 12-sided bezel, a double-layered dial and three-dimensional hourmarkers. Offered in five versions, the collection meets the expectations of watch enthusiasts looking for an unpretentious timepiece with Swiss Made quality.

HAMILTON – Hamilton Pan Europ
Building on a rich heritage of watchmaking know-how, Hamilton is offering a revisited and gently nostalgic interpretation of the Pan Europ, the brand’s first automatic chronograph launched in 1971 and equipped with the famous Calibre 11. With its sturdy, slightly square case, its red hands making a striking contrast with the deep blue dial and bezel, the new Pan Europ radiates tradition viewed from a resolutely contemporary perspective. The 1,971-piece limited edition is equipped with a Swiss high-grade automatic chronograph movement, the H31 calibre.

RECONVILIER – Hercules Classic
The Reconvilier watchmaking company presents its Hercules Classic timepieces that can be customised to ensure a fully personalised execution. Customers can select their preferences from a broad range of materials and colours for the case, dial, hour-markers, hands and wristbands. This enables passionate enthusiasts to give free rein to their inspiration and to create a truly tailor-made model. Fanciful, classic or vintage variations, on which time is interpreted in steel, pink/rose gold or white gold with silver-, gold- or blue-toned accents: the tough part will be actually making the choice!

ORIS – Big Crown X1 Calculator
With its Big Crown collection, Oris demonstrates expertise in the field of tribute watches to historical aircraft. Inspired by the Bell X-1, the first plane to break the sound barrier, the Big Crown X1 Calculator refers to this era when flight plans were still made using slide rules, and accentuates this unique mechanism. Its rotating bezel serves to adjust the slide rule and to calculate fuel consumption for a given flight time, while the caseback displays a m/ft conversion table for international use. The chronograph push-pieces bear the X and 1, like a last nod to the date of the historical feat accomplished at 10:18 on October 14th 1947

With Chapter One, Maîtres du Temps has achieved an as yet unmatched technical feat: that of uniting a tourbillon, a mono-pusher chronograph, a retrograde date, a retrograde GMT and two separate rollers respectively indicating the day and the phases of the moon. It took the combined talent of Christophe Claret and Peter Speake-Marin, together with the momentum provided by Steven Holtzman, for this youthful brand to revolutionise the world of grand complications.

VASTO – Universo Tourbillon
As the star model in the Universo collection, the Tourbillon represents the peak of horological complications by Vasto, a brand engaged in a perpetual quest for excellence. The tourbillon bridge shaped like a treble clef will appeal to aficionados of both fine timepieces and classical music. Such meticulous attention to detail is further displayed in the magnificent 50-diamond gem-setting adorning the tourbillon bridge and the dial opening at 9 o’clock ensuring an unobstructed view. The result is an exceptional rose gold timepiece radiating an exquisitely poetic aura.

While the Alliance collection has evolved constantly, its values have remained intact. Reliability, understated design, functionality and Swiss quality are the unchanging core of timepieces from Victorinox Swiss Army. The latest Alliance model with its flowing and dynamic lines is a perfect embodiment of these standards. The lyre-shaped horns, round case and brushed steel form a complementary and harmonious whole. The charcoal-grey matt lacquered dial reflects a modest approach echoed by the counters, the hour-markers including only three Arabic numerals – and indeed the entire layout. This extremely pared-down approach, combined with meticulous attention to detail and undeniable know-how, combine to make this a truly classic model with a subtly modern touch.

L’EPEE – La Ronde
In l’Epée clocks, time appears to stand still, as if encapsulated within a golden cage. Protected by its blown glass “bubble”, the movement of La Ronde nonetheless reveals all its secrets: its horizontal escapement, its discs adorned with “Pavés du Jura” and its striking mechanism that sublimates the hours and half-hours. Crafted in harmony with the Matthew Norman spirit, this model perpetuates the brand’s exceptional expertise rooted in the noblest Swiss traditions.

MOVADO – Master Automatic Chronograph
Featuring a design firmly rooted in the industrial and architectural expression of the Bauhaus movement, the Movado MasterTM takes the iconic Museum dial in a whole new direction. Its generous 45 mm streamlined case is topped by a black sapphire bezel creating a highly novel and beautifully finished effect. On its asymmetrical dial with a grid pattern motif, the emblematic 12 o’clock dot features a convex centre that makes it look like a push-piece, while the tone-on-tone minute-circle gradually asserts itself as the seconds and minutes go by. The beautifully structured symmetrical lines compose a decidedly contemporary chronograph.

ATLANTIC – Worldmaster 1888 Réserve de Marche
The over century-old Atlantic brand offers a power-reserve version of its flagship Worldmaster 1888 model in tribute to its founding year. The reinterpreted lines are more contemporary, with a curved case ensuring a perfect fit and a darker dial matching the black strap, while the power-reserve is displayed at 7 o’clock. The fine sunburst guilloché dial motif and the rose gold appliques pointing towards the centre accentuate the depth effect.

Chapter Two is the second entirely original and innovative timepiece from Maîtres du Temps. It stems from a unique cooperation between Daniel Roth and Peter Speake-Marin, who have pushed the limits of haute horlogerie with the world’s most legible instantaneous triple calendar timepiece. This model combines a large date with the day of the week and the month of the year written out in full on their respective rollers at 6 and 12 o’clock. A truly stunning creation!

A.B.ART – Chronograph OC151
a.b.art timepieces perfectly embody the brand spirit of art pared down to essentials and far removed from ostentatious luxury. The Chronograph OC 151 is no exception to the rule. The white hands and the minute-circle enliven the matt black dial, resulting in an understated and discreetly graphic design. This monochrome principle is reflected in the pushers and the wristband of an eminently masculine timepiece entirely in harmony with the brand values and inspired by the Bauhaus philosophy.

PHILIP STEIN – Prestige Automatic Gents
The “Prestige Automatic Gents Philip Stein” is far more than just a watch. Behind the twin-subdial face featuring dual time-zone and date displays lies a wealth of astonishing properties. The heart of its case features a thin metal plate called a natural frequency disc. When the watch is worn on the wrist, the fundamental frequencies of the Earth transmitted by this disc interact with the human biofield. The holistic frequencies resonating in the watch inform and “regulate” the body, thereby enabling the person wearing it to be more resistant and less vulnerable to stress. It thus embodies the purest form of luxury: well-being.

HAMILTON – Lipstick
The latest women’s model from Hamilton sends a fresh wind blowing through the watchmaking world. This ingenious lipstick-shaped timepiece displays the time on the main part of its cylindrical case and reveals a second time zone when the base is rotated, just like its cosmetic namesake. The iridescent pink cocktail of the dials further accentuates the femininity of this creation. Carried in a handbag or worn around the neck, at the belt or even on the wrist thanks to a leather cord or strap, it is sure to make an impression while not leaving any traces. This limited edition is available from Hamilton’s online laboratory, www.hamilton-lab.com.

ATLANTIC – Seaport Day Retrograde
With its new Seaport Day Retrograde model, Atlantic is introducing a classic timepiece with a blend of understated and refined elegance. The unusual dial lay-out lends it an original touch, with the days stretching from 8 to 12 o’clock across an arc of a circle, an off-centred double date window at 1 o’clock and an oversized small seconds display at 6 o’clock. This beautifully flowing and harmonious composition with a hint of vintage charm is also attractively priced.

WALCA – Masterpiece
Walca, the leading Swiss private label model, develops and produces all kinds of made-to-measure products. Attentive listening, designing and creating are more than just principles; they are a genuine philosophy nurtured by this Biel-based manufacturer. The ideal choice for all cutting-edge creations, the firm is dedicated to transforming customers’ desires into horological reality. The Walca watchmakers, technicians and specialists interpret and give life to these exceptional timepieces, while testing and controlling quality at each stage. This prime partner will be present at Baselworld 2011.

REBELLION – REB-5 Tourbillon
With its REB-5 Tourbillon, this Rebellion timepiece is doubly amazing! While its tourbillon complication is a tribute to Swiss watchmaking, it also represents a real leap forward in 21st century technology. The design talent of Eric Giroud combined with the technical expertise of Laurent Besse has resulted in a unique timepiece. Its originality lies not only in the tourbillon – suspended upright from a bridge – but also in the two visible barrels, which provide a 7-day power reserve. Limited edition of 12.

ETERNA – Contessa
Since 1930, the watchmakers at Eterna have regularly given women a place of honour. This year is no exception. With the Contessa, the brand displays dazzling proof of its horological virtuosity in the creation of ladies’ watches. Set with 301 diamonds (1.68 carats), this timepiece is distinguished by its Art Deco-inspired rectangular shape. The crosspieces, with subtly curved rounded edges on both ends of the case, underline its extreme refinement, while the dial’s white mother-of-pearl creates an unforgettably glamorous shimmering effect. Thanks to the interchangeable straps of white and black leather, this exceptional timepiece is suitable for any occasion.

HANHART – Primus Pilot
Hanhart is synonymous with reliable and robust high precision watch instruments for use in the air, on land and on water. The Primus Pilot is a perfect example of this, underscoring this Swiss/German brand’s tradition and unique know-how. Hanhart has chosen an elegant black for this re-interpretation of one of its legendary aviator chronographs.

DAVIDOFF – Velero Collection
Time is an exciting, unruly companion on our journey through life, extravagant at times and yet always escaping our grasp. For Zino Davidoff, time was associated with elegance and leisure, discovering new horizons and meeting new challenges. It is for men and women like him that the new “Velero” timepiece has been created. The “Velero” Collection including a Gent Automatic Chronograph and Gent Automatic will be available on a stainless steel bracelet or alligator strap. A perfect extension of this line has been achieved with the Sports Version that is fitted with a rubber strap, and a ladies timepiece that is presented with a mother-of-pearl dial and on a stingray strap. Discover the new “Velero” Collection of Swiss made timepieces for men and women at this year’s BASELWORLD.

With its hour, minute, seconds and date functions, the SW300 Calibre from Sellita is further proof of the reputation for reliability that the brand has forged in its position as a supplier of both standard and top-of-the-range movements to numerous Swiss watchmakers. Designed to be produced in series, this new movement is already making waves as a genuine alternative to the ETA 2892 movement.

REBELLION – Predator Chrono Mono-Pusher
Developed in collaboration with designer Eric Giroud, the Predator remains true to the Rebellion spirit: uncompromising authenticity and assertive design, quality and performance. This decidedly masculine timepiece boasts technical and aesthetic features drawn directly from the world of racing cars, from the disc brakes to the pedals. The multi-layered round case can be customized to the buyer’s taste.

Since it was founded in 1963, Swiss Military Hanowa has excelled in the development of trendy, sporty watches at affordable prices. The Flagship, with its classic design and understated black or silver dial, is a perfect example of this philosophy. The applied luminescent hourmarkers and date window at 3 o’clock provide instant legibility, while the stainless steel case flows seamlessly into the stainless steel bracelet. The attractive rounded curves of this watch are underscored by the simple red Swiss Military Hanowa logo, a guarantee of Swiss Made quality.

GUEPARD – Hurly Burly
With 14 rings in perpetual motion inside the dial, the Hurly Burly embodies Guépard’s new direction. The 1064 brilliants that adorn the case, horns, flange and dial reveal all the craftsmanship and expertise that have made the brand such a success for over 45 years. While the name might suggest confusion, this exceptional timepiece is powered by a well-regulated movement.

HANHART – Primus Diver
The Primus Diver from Hanhart is in tune with its time. Nevertheless, references to the brand’s past are not lacking. These include its famous red pushpiece, one of the brand’s identifying features since 1939, designed to make the chronograph more user-friendly for fighter pilots, the fluted bezel and the bi-composite dial. The 2011 version of the Primus Diver is clean and cool in its black ADLC-treated case.

Sellita’s latest creation, the SW500 Calibre meets the growing demand for Swiss automatic chronograph movements. An impressive combination of quality and absolute mastery of horological techniques, this movement offers the same high performance and level of reliability as an ETA 7750 movement.

SECULUS – Masterline
An expression of beauty and technology, this resolutely sporty chronograph is equipped with a highly sophisticated Ronda movement. Additional functions housed in its generous 46-mm case include the day, date and month as well as a tachometer. The finely-worked dial with its three silvered counters comes in black, white, blue or brown. The red chronograph seconds hand adds a dynamic touch, while the central date, revealed in a very original way on the dial rim, gives the dial a harmonious dimension.

GUEPARD – Berverly Lady
The Guépard brand continues its quest for excellence with the Beverly Lady, a subtle marriage of watchmaking and refined jewellery. The warm pink gold case and dial are perfectly set off by 221 diamonds, which lend a remarkable brilliance to this ultra-feminine creation. The distinct curved lines of the case gently hug the shape of the wrist, as do the crocodile strap and folding clasp, adorned with 29 diamonds.
