Digital Set by Karl Lagerfeld

Digital Set by Karl Lagerfeld

Everyone knows Karl Lagerfeld as a visionary designer with a sharp eye in terms of fashion, photography and design.

But only a few know that he is also a keen collector of luxury craftsmanship, including the legendary objects created by S.T.Dupont.

And since everything Karl Lagerfeld touches instantly turns into gold, S.T.Dupont had the bright idea to ask him to design a new collection (they first collaborated in 2011). Thus, Karl Lagerfeld has combined his creative flair with the S.T.Dupont expertise and heritage to imagine the White & Matte-Black Collection.

This new collaboration takes the world of S.T.Dupont from paper into the digital era with a set inspired by mobile technology.  Ever at the leading edge, Karl Lagerfeld is one of the pioneers of digital fashion through his strong online presence. It seemed a matter of course for him to create a Digital Set using the different modes of contemporary communications.
The collection’s new optic-white or matte-black Dupont-lacquer finishes underscore one of the most recognisable black-and-white silhouettes in the world, Karl Lagerfeld’s own signature logo.

The digital set

Inspired by mobile technology, it is perfectly in line with the digital trend of the Karl Lagerfeld brand. Luminous white and matte-black finishes are set off by palladium trims and brilliant red agate gemstones on the clip. Inside the digital set, a matte-black lacquer pen combines a traditional ballpoint with a digital stylus, engraved at the tip with the KL silhouette. The set is completed by an 8 GB USB stick in white Dupont lacquer finish.
