The new A-Class is set to arrive in showrooms around Europe in September 2012, but even before this date, the dynamic presence of the compact car is already creating quite a stir.
It is expected to go on Sale in the UK in December with a price tag starting at £18945.
In addition to its sporty design, its inner values are also impressive. A broad range of petrol and diesel engines look after every possible wish in terms of power whilst also checking the box for the best efficiency and emissions values: the A 180 CDI will mean that Mercedes-Benz is able, for the first time, to achieve a CO2 value of just 98g/km.
What’s more, the A 220 CDI and all of the petrol engines already meet the Euro 6 emissions standard.
Three design lines (Style, Urban and AMG Sport) and a variety of further options make it as individual as its driver.
For the first time, performance specialists from AMG were involved at an early stage in the development of the compact model. The result is the most dynamic version of the model series – the A-Class Sport engineered by AMG. Its outstanding features include a front axle developed by AMG with specially tuned matching suspension.
Its sporty appearance is further accentuated by a new diamond grille, exclusive AMG 18-inch alloy wheels in a five-spoke design, and red highlighting features on the AMG front and rear aprons, and also on the brake callipers.
